The independent non-profit institution offers an innovative environment for students and professionals and reaches a high output in entrepreneurial motivation, education and qualification. The start-up consulting offers a free innovation lab (STEELCASE® Creative Hall) for students, alumni and the wider network. The research focus lies on networks, innovation management and entrepreneurship and is part of the European PhD Consortium NITIM.

In 2011, the MUAS and the SCE were awarded with the title “EXIST – Gründerhochschule” as one of three best entrepreneurial universities by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
