NITIM Graduate Summer School

2018, June 20 – 23rd in Konstanz, Germany

The NITIM graduate school is an international PhD school that is focusing on topics in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management as well as information and communication technologies.

The NITIM summer school is organized once a year in cooperation with the ICE/IEEE ITMC conference and thus takes place at changing locations – e.g. 2016 in Trondheim (Norway) and 2017 in Madeira (Portugal). In 2018, the NITIM Summer School venue is the beautiful city of Konstanz, located directly at the Lake Constance in southeastern Germany.

What can you expect from the 3 days Summer School? The NITIM Graduate School is a nonprofit organization that is supported by a large faculty consisting of professors with various backgrounds from all over the world. The faculty and the attending PhD peers will provide you with valuable feedback on your research project and help you to progress with the work. Furthermore, you will have the possibility to strengthen your academic network at the social events and throughout the whole summer school. The social program includes a boat trip on the Lake Constance, a dinner with traditional German meals and a sightseeing tour through the historical city of Konstanz.

What are the requirements for participating? To join the NITIM doctoral school, a written proposal describing your research project needs to be submitted. Upon acceptance, you will get feedback on the proposal from peers and a faculty member and will be asked to prepare a presentation of your research for the NITIM parallel session, in which you will also take the role of a discussant for one fellow PhD student’s work.

What will it cost to join the NITIM? As we are still in the organization process, the costs are not fixed yet but will range around 300 € (a final price will be announced asap) excluding travel expenses and accommodation. We will communicate accommodation options for different budgets soon.

If you are interested in the event and you would like to be included in the NITIM mailing list to receive further information on the process, the proposal content templates, and the important dates, please write an email to selig@innovationsinstitut.org and you will be kept up-to-date on the NITIM. Become part of the great NITIM community!
