The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) was founded as an associated institute of the Munich University of Applied Sciences in 2002 by the former Venture Capitalist Falk F. Strascheg. The independent non-profit institution offers an innovative environment for students and professionals and reaches a high output in entrepreneurial motivation, education and qualification. The start-up consulting offers a free innovation lab (STEELCASE® Creative Hall) for students, alumni and the wider network. The research focus lies on networks, innovation management and entrepreneurship and is part of the European PhD Consortium NITIM.
The development of ideas to market maturity and the education of entrepreneurial personalities with a high willingness to take social responsibility in society, as well as in companies, are the core missions of the SCE. In 2011, the MUAS and the SCE were awarded with the title “EXIST – Gründerhochschule” as one of three best entrepreneurial universities by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The CEO who formed and developed the SCE in the past years is Prof. Dr. Klaus Sailer.
